Allies has appointed Dan Cooper as its permanent Chief Executive following his year-long tenure as interim CEO.

Dr Lorna Allies, Chairman, said: “Last February, we appointed Dan as our interim CEO on a 12-month contract. He has shown himself to have the right aptitude and ability to lead and we have great confidence in him”.

Dan joined the company in 2011 and held the position of Programme Delivery Manager before being promoted to interim CEO in early 2013. Before that, he held several roles within Archant, the regional news media group.

Speaking after the announcement to staff, Dan said “We begin 2014 with a much improved proposition for customers”.

“Over the past year, we’ve improved our product capability but also reached beyond this. Now, more than ever, we are focussing on improving and tailoring the end-to-end user experience we provide to customers. We intend to exceed the high expectations of our growing customer base in the year ahead”.
