Allies is supporting East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) by donating £10,000 to their nook appeal.
Allies is supporting East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) by donating £10,000 to their nook appeal. The aim of the appeal is to raise £10 million to build and equip a new hospice in the heart of Norfolk.
EACH supports local families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions. Their care and support, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is tailored to the needs of all family members and delivered wherever needed - the family home, at hospital, in the community or at their hospices.
Their hospice at Quidenham in Norwich has provided care for more than 20 years but is restricted in its facilities and development. Its replacement - the nook - will be a new and purpose-built hospice in Framingham Pigot, close to the offices of Allies.
The nook will enable EACH to provide more choice and flexibility to families, increased overnight accommodation, improved care for bereaved families, better medical equipment, hydrotherapy, more play and recreation spaces as well as enhanced facilities for on-site family support groups and activities.
EACH is working alongside businesses, as well as individuals including their Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, to raise the funds needed to realise their vision for the nook.
Dan Cooper, CEO of Allies, said: “EACH provide fantastic care and support in the most difficult of situations. The nook will help them make even more of difference to those they support. We are delighted to support the appeal and look forward to seeing it progress in 2015.”
