Allies has recently helped a number of clients improve their customers’ online experience with Postcoder
Allies, a leading UK supplier of address management services has recently helped a number of clients improve their customers’ online experience with Postcoder, a cloud-based postcode look-up service.
The data quality solution provides a quick and reliable address lookup function which can be integrated into websites or applications. With its ‘address autocomplete’ feature, Postcoder has allowed a number of online retailers to improve the service their customers experience when delivery and payment information is inputted.
As Mike Sullivan, IT Manager at LA Muscle suggests, “Inputting an address into a form, line by line, is time consuming and can be prone to error. We wanted to find a better approach.”
By incorporating Postcoder into their website, LA Muscle, a sports nutrition company based in London, could provide a simple and enjoyable online-shopping experience for its customers who benefitted from a streamlined checkout process.
Similarly, the Postcoder API allowed Gala Tent, a world leader in the design and distribution of marquees and tents, to implement an address finder feature without making substantial alterations to their website.
According to Steve Biggs, IT Manager at Gala Tent, “It fitted perfectly around our existing address form and didn’t force us to use a particular set of address fields.”
Postcoder uses the latest postal addresses from Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File (PAF®), the UK’s definitive address source containing 29 million addresses and 1.7 million postcodes. Allies updates its Postcoder service daily to account for any PAF® changes, which ensures optimal usability and great customer service for the end-user.
As Gary Grand, Director at Wilco considers, “We looked around for a system that was reliable, well priced and easy to integrate. Postcoder ticked all the boxes.”
