News Article Postcoder combines PAF with AddressBase Premium

Postcoder, the address lookup API from Allies, can now provide access to Royal Mail PAF® and Ordnance Survey (OS) AddressBase Premium within a single lookup.

The new feature allows users to append AddressBase Premium fields - such as UPRN or property-level coordinates - to the addresses found within PAF®.

AddressBase Premium, which itself uses PAF®, is updated and released every six weeks by OS. As such, the address details it holds can be up to six weeks out-of-date.

In contrast, PAF® is updated daily by Royal Mail. Postcoder combines this daily feed of PAF® with the 6-weekly feed of AddressBase Premium to provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive view possible.
