Postcoder expands its address database

Postcoder, the address validation API from Allies, can now query an expanded database following the addition of two UK datasets.

The change means organisations using Postcoder can access a wider range of data using addresses from the Royal Mail Not Yet Built and British Forces Post Office (BFPO) datasets.

Dan Cooper, Allies CEO, said the new data should benefit a variety of sectors: “Building firms and utility companies need to deliver goods to properties under construction. These addresses can now be found using Postcoder with the inclusion of the Not Yet Built dataset.”

“Online retailers with customers that wish to deliver their order to a British Forces Post Office address, anywhere in the world, can now find that address using the BFPO data in Postcoder.”

The new datasets supplement the UK data already present in the web API, which includes the Royal Mail Postcode Address File (PAF) and Multiple Residence, and Ordnance Survey (OS) AddressBase Premium.

Postcoder also supports address validation in over 240 countries along with geocoding and email validation.
